By contrast, the average blood-pressure reading in a control group that received neither therapy didn't budge.

T-cells are specialized immune system cells just waiting in your body for activation. When you laugh, you activate T-cells that immediately begin to help you fight off sickness.

Laughter reduces the level of stress hormones like cortisol, epinephrine, (adrenaline), dopamine, and growth hormone. It also increases the level of health-enhancing hormones, like endorphins.
